Terms of play
These are the terms for using FieldHunters — the site, the field, the shop, and the payouts. Playing, paying, or creating an account is agreement. If you cannot agree, do not play. The privacy notice covers data. This page covers the game.
The game
FieldHunters is a browser metal-detecting game on one shared field. Spots are public. Several hunters may work the same hole. The first to finish keeps the find. We do not owe you a hole because you saw it first, because you paid, or because you have been playing longer.
Free play is the full game on that field. A pass lends kit; it does not open a second map. We can change timings, coils, luck, drop rates, and the shape of the ground. We will not turn a find you already hold into nothing, and we will not turn Treasures you already hold into coins.
Accounts
One hunter per person. You must be old enough to hold the account in your own name — we ask for a date of birth because payouts go to adults. Keep the login yours. If someone else digs on it, that is still your account as far as the balances are concerned.
We can close an account that cheats, multi-accounts, harasses, launders, or tries to break the rails. Closing for cause can forfeit coins and kit. Treasures already credited are still money we owe, unless the credit itself was the cheat.
Two purses
Coins buy kit inside the game. They do not withdraw. Treasures are real bitcoin, credited when a sealed chest opens, shown in dollars on the hunter page. Only Treasures can leave. Shop payments — card or crypto — buy the row you pressed. They do not convert into Treasures, and they are not deposits. Read Two purses if that split is still muddy. The article is commentary. This paragraph is the rule.
Payouts
Treasures pay out over Lightning. The minimum is ten US dollars. Identity checks have to be approved before we send. We pay the account we have verified, not a name in a ticket. Rails fail; when they do, the balance stays until we can send it. We are not a bank, an exchange, or a custodian beyond the Treasures sitting on the account.
Bitcoin moves. The dollar figure on the screen is how we account for a chest at the moment it opens. It is not a promise that the same dollar figure will be waiting on a later afternoon if you have not withdrawn. If we ever cannot pay, we will say so rather than pretend the number is still spendable cash.
Shop and passes
Coils sold by the hole, outfits, curios, and passes are digital kit. Once delivered they are not refunded because you lost a race, because a chest did not drop, or because you changed your mind about the colour of a hat. If we failed to deliver what you paid for, write from contact and we will put it right.
A pass runs until the date on the hunter page. When it lapses, the lent coil goes with it. Coils you bought stay until their charges are spent. Adverts return with the free tier.
Adverts
Free hunters see an advert on the field after a few holes. Not over an open dig, not on sign-in, not on the pages you read. A pass removes them. Third parties serve those units under their own terms. Blocking them does not break the game.
Fair play
Bots, scripts, extra accounts to farm the same hole, and anything that lets you finish faster than the coil you are holding are out. So is pretending to be us. So is using the field to push scams at other hunters. We run our own bots on the ground as scenery and pressure; that is the game, not a licence for yours.
The site
The field art is from Sprout Lands by Cup Nooble, used under that licence. The rest of the site — the words, the code, the mark — is FieldHunters. Do not scrape the catalogue into another game and call it yours.
If something breaks
The game can go down. A hole can fail to resolve. Write to us. We will fix the account, not invent damages on top. French law governs. If a court has to be involved, it will be in France.
More about who we are is on about. How a session works is in the hunter's guide.
