FIELD NOTES

The feed lit up

22 January 2026

You have twenty seconds left on a hole that smells like junk. Your coil is bronze. Your boots are planted. Then the feed flashes — a name you half-recognise, a sealed chest, real bitcoin credited to Treasures — and for a second your thumbs forget the dig you are already in.

That is the shared field doing its job. Their win is public. Your crater is still yours to finish. The game does not pause so you can be jealous in private.

Why we show it

A silent economy is how people invent conspiracies. If chests opened in a vacuum, every empty evening would feel like a rigged table. When the feed lights up, you see the proof in motion: the ground pays sometimes, to whoever stood up first, on the same dirt you are standing on.

It also hurts a little. Good. Hurt means the prize is real enough to want. A token nobody can withdraw does not make the feed matter. Bitcoin does.

What you do next

Finish your hole. Sell the button. Sweep again. Do not abandon a dig you already paid for in time because someone else got lucky three hedges away. The chest was never 'yours next'. It was theirs because they finished.

Free bronze opens chests. Passes make you luckier, not entitled. Shop money still does not convert. When your own flash finally comes, the feed will light up for somebody else the same way it just did for you — and that is the deal.
